IEMA-Greek Music Information Center participates in the EU-cofunded EUROMUSE project, which concerns the creation of original music for museums.
The project considers music as a sensitive mechanism that allows for deeper participation of museum and exhibition visitors in discovery for a deeper understanding and better enjoyment of national and European heritage. 6 young composers, selected following an international call for proposals, created music for 3 museums in Greece, Italy and Portugal. In parallel, research is being conducted that focuses on empirically measuring the impact of music on visitors' experiences, on the time they spend there and on increased memory and perception stimulation.
The results were announced at the conference "Museums, Music and Audiences" held in Belgrade on 25–26 April 2026.
